Yara is the world’s leading mineral fertilizer company; the only one with a truly global presence and a permanent presence in Africa. Yara Tanzania Ltd is located in Pugu Road Dar es Salaam Tanzania. Yara Tanzania Ltd. commercial activities are divided in two areas of responsibility, covering sales through Distributors and Industrial/Commercial Farmers. The commercial activity is supported by a central and regional based Market Development team which provides training, technical support, runs trails and demonstrations, and a central Customer Service organization which handles logistics and order handling.
Yara Tanzania Ltd will during 2014 finalize a fertilizer terminal in the port of Dar es Salaam which will give the company an excellent position to further develop the business and to meet ambitious targets for Tanzania and neighboring countries.
We are now looking to recruit one Front Wheel Operator for the Terminal Operations in Dar es Salaam Tanzania.

Responsibilities

• Use of the Pay loader and forklift in production/discharge operation
• Front wheel inspection and maintenance reporting
• Incidence and Near-miss reporting
• Daily use of safety check list to check the production equipment’s as a safety tool
• Report any equipment damage as soon as identified for immediate repair works
• Maximize space usage  for bulk discharge  operation
• Ensure all warehouse gates are properly sealed and locked  before close of day day work

Profile

• Must have certificate of competency from recognized institute , ie,
                  NIT
                  VETA
                  INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY: DIT, MIT, AIT
• Having Tanzania Driving license Class F or G
• Working experience not less than 5 years
• Good in English language spoken and written
• Medical History- No diabetic and BP
• Familiar with Inspection and Pre-start of machines procedures
• Able to Reporting of Machines or plant equipment
