Akiba Commercial Bank, a leading bank in microfinance and SMEs financing is currently recruiting for suitably Qualified candidates to fill the following positions in Dar Es Salaam and Mwanza.
The Loan Officer is responsible for individual microenterprise loans and reports to the Loan Supervisor of the Branch.
Provide quality service to customers and manage their expectations
Market / Promote individual microenterprise loans and other bank products.
Develop and execute annual loan portfolio build up plan and manage productivity and caseload growth. Use credit tools to manage productivity and increase caseload.
Visit clients in the field to undertake business assessment and appraisal of client loan applications to ensure they comply with the lending criteria interview loan applicants to establish the applicant's character to eliminate the risk of default
Process loan applications in the shortest possible time to meet clients' intended business requirements on time.
Monitor loan disbursement and make constant follow-up to ensure timely repayment of loans by clients. Report regularly to the Supervisor and Branch Management on performance of the loan portfolio Responsible for keeping clients' records for reference Recovery of all [cans under the portfolio
Perform any other duties as directed or assigned by superior
Experience or exposure through attachment I internship in Micro and Small scale enterprise lending or field sales assignments is an added advantage.
Qualification and Experience
University Degree/ Advanced Diploma in any business or science related degree, agricultural economics. Applicants should have minimum Div 2 with Pass in Mathematics at 0 level or A level.
Specific skills and Attributes
Competency ill Computer application, Excel and Ms Word.
High level of integrity.
Good communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
Able to handle intensive workload without close supervision
Able to work for long hours in the field
Able to work within strict deadlines, manage time and targets
