Description:
The Centre for Counselling , Nutrition and Health Care (COUNSENUTH) is a Tanzanian non- profit , non governmental organization working to scale up nutrition work in Tanzania. COUNSENUTH is inviting applications to fil a position of a Project Officer –Nutrition , which will be based in Tunduru district, Ruvuma region. POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Officer will work on our nutrition project in Tunduriu, Ruvuma and woill be working with Local Government Authority, health facilities and community workers as well as people of different cultural backgrounds. The person must have very good interpersonal sills, highly motivated, creative, a team player with high degree of integrity and fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English. The person will report to the program Manager-Ruvuma Nutrition Program. The Project Officer-Nutrition (Tunduru) will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of program activities in Tunduru district.

Qualifications and Experience
The applicant must:
• Hold a basic degree in Nutrition, or Masters in Nutrition or public health.
• Have at least 3-4 years working experience in nutrition or related project/program.
• Have experience in community engagement /mobilization and capacity building process.
• Have experience of working with Government institutions, The Local Government, Civil society organizations and community partners
• Preference will be given to those coming from or willing to work in Tunduru.
