Tanzania International Petroleum Reserves Co Ltd (TIPER) Is hospitality storage facility for bulk fuel. The company is undergoing business growth and as we are keeping track on the trend we wish to recruit for the following positions. HSSE Assistant This position promotes a continuous awareness of the risks in the working environment and work on protecting people, environment, assets and reputation. The HSSE Assistant fosters and HSSE culture throughout the organization. The HSSE Assistant plan, implements, deploys and maintains HSSE work programs that promote a healthy and safety, work environment for all employees and adherence to government guidelines for safe work place. This position also performs incident investigation coordination and complies with regulations and standards through plan reviews, inspections and code enforcement.
Qualifications & Experience:
Responsibilities
• Preventing accident with zero tolerance.
• Observing and implementing safe regulations
• Monitor and ensure fire safety of the depot
• Train and create awareness on HSSE Issues
• Promote and foster HSSE culture, organize HSSE meetings etc.
Experience and requirements
• Degree in occupational safety/engineering/environmental studies and management.
• Knowledge and understanding of all legislative requirements relating to occupational health, safety and environment.
• A knowledge and understanding of the impact of failure of key systems and processes including loss of containment and threat to the environment.
• Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be mitigated.
• Assisting in house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues
• A minimum of 5 years experience in the HSSE field.
