MOFED Tanzania limited is a freight and forwarding service provider wholly owned by the government of the republic of zambia under the ministry of transport, works, supply and communications in Lusaka zambia, it is based in the kurasini area next to the dock yard in Dar es salaam. MOFED Tanzania limited is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified people to fill the following vacancies; ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT OFFICER Job summary • To coordinate the receiving, opening and evaluation of tenders, proposal and quotations. • Coordinate the preparation of procurement documents, utilizing sound sustainable procurement practice, while adhering to corporate policies and government legislation prior to issuing the public tender. • Analyze the purchases requisition from the user departments and determine the appropriate method of procurement. • Attend and preside over public openings of tender proposal and quotations. • Involvement in preparation of contracts and tender awards • To prepare management information and statistical report • Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the procurement officer.

Qualification and experience
• Bachelor degree in business administration (procurement and logistics management) or its equivalent from recognized training institution.
• Must be registered with the procurement and supplies professionals and technician board as certified supplies professional.
• Good knowledge of local business environment is essential.
